Ben Gleibbengleib.comBen Gleib is a standup comedian, actor, and writer. A national headliner, Esquire recently named him one of "six comedians who could be comedy's next big thing." He's a regular guest on Chelsea Lately on E! and at the legendary Hollywood Improv He was recently featured on NBCs Last Comic Standing.
That's nothing to sneeze at. (Unlike allergens.) In 2006 he sold a pilot called The Gleib Show to FOX produced by Saturday Night Lives Lorne Michaels and NBC/Universal. The show originally ran for 3 seasons as the #1 show on the National Lampoon Network, airing to millions of college students across the country. Gleib also can be seen in a supporting role in the feature film, Bar Starz a comedy starring Charlie Murphy.
A Los Angeles native, Gleib is one of the most versatile and unique voices in comedy today. He recently shot three pilots, including a BET improvised comedy called Get It In, and CQC a Daily Show type show where he interviewed Barack Obama, Bill & Hillary Clinton, and ruined a John McCain press conference! Always keeping busy, his other accomplishments include hosting several pods for Current TV, curently hosting a webseries called Couch Crashers, having written a monthly column for Saturday Night Magazine, appearing as a guest on Fox Reality Channels Reality Remix,TV Guide Channels Reality Chat, and No Good TV's Up Close with Carrie Keegan(ngtv.com), writing for Collegehumor.com - one of the most popular sites on the internet, voicing Dirk Melvin on the animated series The Melvin Bros. on gopotato.tv, and writing a Celebrity Blog for tvguide.com. Gleib is consistently in the Top 10 on the syndicated radio show Comedy Countdown (also on XM,) is one of the top comedians on myspace, and is a regular on SIRIUS Satellite Radio. In addition, he has written the Radio Music Awards for ABC , and hosted a pilot for E! called Casual Fridays. He has also performed in the Vancouver Comedy Festival, and the Laughing Matters Festival in the Netherlands.
When he was still in college, Gleib also pranked his way onto The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and a memorable episode of Blind Date, pretending he was an Israeli guy with no social skills. For his college talk show he had Carmen Electra as a guest, and was featured on her E! True Hollywood Story.
